CFA Launches the Indiewood Screenwriting Fund (ISF)
At Cinematography for Actors (CFA), we believe in creating opportunities for filmmakers at every stage of their careers. Over the past two years, we’ve focused on community-building and education, helping crew and talent connect, create, and showcase their work. Now, we’re excited to extend that support to screenwriters through a new program - the Indiewood Screenwriting Fund (ISF).
The Indiewood Screenwriting Fund (ISF) is designed to break financial and systemic barriers for underrepresented and low-income writers. With financial support, mentorship, and industry connections, ISF gives emerging screenwriters the tools they need to grow, refine their craft, and gain visibility.
What is ISF?
In partnership with Yaroslav Altunin—screenwriter and host of CFA’s Indiewood podcast—we’ve built a program that provides screenwriters with the financial support, mentorship, and industry connections needed to take their careers to the next level.
ISF is here to:
Cover competition entry fees so financial barriers don’t hold you back
Provide mentorship with industry professionals
Create networking & collaboration opportunities through a strong cohort model
Offer live script readings at CFA Studio to amplify your work
Through this program, we want to help emerging screenwriters refine their craft, showcase their work, and build sustainable careers in the film industry.
Who Can Apply?
This program is designed for:
